I see that Hell's Solicitor has solicited my opinion. My first impulse is to rush down the street to the nearest church and douse myself in holy water, but out of kindness to the local parishioners, I will resist that impulse.

I don't think Michigan beats Ohio State until Michigan's linebacker play improves mightily, and it's tough seeing that kind of improvement from this group in the first year under a new DC. We also don't know what Michigan has at QB, while we know exactly what Ohio State has. So, while I loathe saying it, I tend to think that game is going to go pretty much the way it's been going, at least for one more year. I'll be very disappointed if Michigan was as uncompetitive as they were last year-- I don't think that will happen again-- but I don't see Michigan winning in Columbus this season.

"Political correctness" doesn't come close to describing the Mormon faith.For decades they claimed Africans were sub-humans. No African Americans could hold any position of power in the church.They prohibit interracial marriage. They prohibit anyone outside of their faith to enter into their church;s sanctuaries. they prohibit premarital sex, and in fact several years ago kicked out of school their top bball player because he had screwed his girlfriend. One of the stumbling blocks to them re-entering a conference is that they prohibit any games on Sunday. In Utah if you ain't Mormon then you are shut out. i once tried a case in Ogden Utah where I was the only non-Mormon in the courtroom.I had two women on my jury who had 21 kids between them.

Well-known in ACC circles...coach Bill Dooley died today. Longtime coach at UNC, VT, and Wake Forest. Legacy tarnished a bit by NCAA violations that landed VT in hot water in the late 80's (but led to Frank Beamer's tenure).

Harbaugh has done nothing but be respectful of Dantonio since he came to Michigan. He's taken a few good natured jabs at them, but that's the nature of a rivalry. Harbaugh went out of his way at the Big Ten meetings last week to show respect for Dantonio and the MSU program.

On the other hand, Dantonio has been a sour-pussed jerk who continues to look like he needs a high colonic every time Michigan is mentioned.

I have a video of Coach Harbaugh being very complimentary to both Coach Dantonio, and Coach Meyer, and both of their programs during the Big Ten meetings. In fact, I think I showed that video in here last week.
