Assuming everything goes the way it should, I don't think I could root for anyone of that top 4. The idea of MSU winning it all makes me sick, I can't handle another SEC love fest, screw Clemson and I guess I'm left with OU...which, ugh, whatever.

But in reality I doubt there is much chance of that happening. Alabama is a very good. The defense is beyond solid and Jake Coker is making big plays, so teams can't try to shut down the run and make him beat them.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

Simply: both took over a job for a coach (Butch Davis and Chip Kelly) that left the program with stacked rosters due to great recruiting.
Both Helfrich and Coker experience great early success because the talent of the roster.
Coker's W/L record: 12-0, 12-1, 11-2, 9-3, 9-3, 7-6.
Helfrich's W/L record: 11-2, 13-2, 9-3, ___ ?
Forecasting the future of Oregon would suggest they will be a 7-9 win team consistently. If they run into a QB problem, maybe 7 wins, like Larry Coker in his final year.
Chip Kelly's last couple of recruiting classes were ranked in the 10-13 range according to 247 (with Mariota in one of them obviously). Helfrich's last couple have been in the 20-28 range.
Overtime, a decrease in talent should lead to less wins.
Helfrich's career could be comparable to Coker. The difference is the Oregon fanbase probably won't want him out if he has a 7-6 season. We'll see.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Who is going to win the CCG's?
Bama vs Florida
Sparty vs Iowa
Clemson vs North Carolina
Stanford vs USC
North Carolina's and Iowa's schedule are really impressive how awful they are. It proves you have little reason to schedule any tough OOC opponents unless might need it as a tiebreaker against another 1-loss team at seasons end...
Can't see Bama losing, I don't think they are by far the best team but Florida is relatively weak as a SEC East winner.

Hard to pick against Bama. They may be on a mission this year after getting stomped last year.
I don't think Iowa can hang with Sparty for 60 minutes. They can make Sparty uncomfortable, but man, as much as I hate Sparty, .. they just win. They will here too.
In Clemson v N Carolina, they have a popular phrase in S. Carolina where the word "clemsoning" is used as a substitute for the word "choke". I think they show why the word fits.
Stanford v USC probably the closest game of the day, but Stanford is a gritty football team that just wears their opponent out. Stanford prevails, I think."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"
