  • ...now my opinion...it was a judgement call on whether he was forced out. There are dozens of plays in the game that were judgement calls as well. Some they get right...others...meh...the fact is they couldn't review the "judgement" part of it...only whether there was indeed contact (there was) and whether he re-established himself inbounds before he touched the ball (he did). End of story. You can say the "judgement" was wrong...fine...it's your opinion...but they missed several plays in the game...not just that one. Plus the game would not have been over anyway. Sparty can quit crying about it...

...oh and FWIW...Talent is right (good lord shoot me now)...Dantonio lost that game. Period. Choke job.

        • Dantonio lost the game, and it is beginning to look like Narduzzi was a bigger loss than Sparty was thinking. 499 yards Neb had against MSU.

MSU has had more calls go their way, and more flat out luck, in the past than any other school in the B10. Desmond Howard gets flat out tackled on a game deciding 2 point conversion:no call. Is MSU the only school in the B10 that has to have a conference person operate the clock because they screwed us terribly, and the conference wonders how often it happens to other teams?

In the Neb game they had a pass go off the target's hand right to another MSU receiver. If they are running proper routes, they shouldn't be that close to each other. MSU has had a horseshoe so far up their ass for so long that it is time something doesn't go their way. Besides, it was the correct call.

Who do you think has a better chance of beating OSU, State or Michigan?

          • Michigan, because of weapons grade coaching. And not just JH, the whole package.

                  • Sounds as if the Big 10 hired the NFL's damage control official.

That was a terrible call and defending it is just as terrible.

                    • I believe MSU's secondary is banged up. And it's not easy to get lockdown talent in the secondary.

From an OSU perspective, the harder game is the road game. I'd feel really good about play either team in Columbus.

That's correct, at the start of the year Spartan fans were praying that we didn't have to see that much of Darian Hicks as he was torched last year at OSU. And if you said Colquhoun would be the #1 corner, we would be petrified. Colquhoun has been pretty good but Hicks has been out, so they are shuttling a bunch of freshmen in. They had Monty Madaris at corner Saturday. It's not good. It's a nice pleasing story to think that it is because they don't have Narduzzi, but's injuries and there is nothing you can do about it.

We'll see how it goes in Columbus, they'll be playing with nothing to lose.

                        • Well, I mean Michigan State controls their own destiny. If they win out then they're in the B10 CG with a plausible shot at the CFP. If the lose, then it's most likely a Florida bowl game. So, I'd say they have plenty to lose when they play OSU.

But, yes, they'll be playing as considerable underdogs.

                            • With MSU's secondary in trouble, I wonder how well, JTB (who I assume is going to start but will be rusty) is going to be able to advantage osu v. this weakness?

I'm also not sure how well osu is going to be able to run their IZ/OZ plays v. MSU's still decent run stopping capacity. You take that away from urbz and throw in some timing issues in the passing game for JTB and you just might ..... and I emphasize MIGHT ..... have upset potential.

I still think osu wins this one but, Dantonio isn't going to make it easy. He'll have a turd or two in his pocket to pull out. You can bet on that...... and I mean that as a compliment to ol' fart face.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I think you know what I mean though. I am probably just rationalizing the whole matter.
