  • I have a friend on the Toledo staff, he's just starting out but he's going to be a great head coach when he gets the chance.

    • Florida Gators quarterback Will Grier has been suspended for the year after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance found in a supplement, coach Jim McElwain announced Monday.

Florida QB Will Grier is done for the year, apparently. He flunked a PED test.

          • Why put him on indefinite suspension just to fire him a day later? That much came to light in 24 hours?

            • Probably on further review, they decided to cut bait and run.

And, if Haden wants a shot at Harbaugh, he's got to move fast before he becomes too entrenched at Michigan.

              • I think the AD Pat Haden's seat is probably warming up as well. He hired Sarkisian and hired Andy Enfield from Florida-Gulf Coast who has turned out to be a colossal flop thus far.

The Grier suspension is huge. Florida was looking like the best team in the SEC East.

                  • Pat Haden: bad at hiring coaches, good at firing them. Will they really let him hire a 3rd football coach? That's insane.

I think Mike Garret hired Kiffin but I could be wrong

                        • Listening on the Sirius radio today to College Sports, putting Sark on an indefinite leave of absence is step one in handling a USC employee with an addiction problem. The hope is that you can get him into rehab and retain him.

That was NEVER the plan from Hayden's standpoint he just had to cross the t's and dot the i's from a legal standpoint. There are plenty of other reasons Hayden had to fire him that fail under the general category of don't get drunk in public, embarrass your employer, the U and so forth type of stuff.

But the legal beagles probably advised Hayden to take appropriate steps in accordance with the USC employment handbook so Sark couldn't come back at some point and say, I should have been offered rehab.

Speculation is that in firing Sark, all the proper steps were followed and it is likely that it was a mutually agreed termination and Sark signed something to that effect, possibly giving up a portion of any payout he might have been owed in order to avoid a termination process that would have been publically disclosed under FOIA.

Hayden's seat is definitely hot if the President has any balls at all and you can bet he is hearing from powerful sources who have a say in such things. There is a strong likelihood that no one wants Hayden picking USC's next coach. Sark is very likely going to take Hayden down with him and not because of any shit Sark might pull but because Hayden is pretty much the guy where the buck stops when it comes to the shitfest he has created for USC.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
