Harvard has resorted to the time-honored practice of using ringers. Those were MIT lads in that game today, I'd swear by it

      • Here's another random score from the dregs of the world...Portland State 59, North Texas 0. North Texas is coached by former Iowa State coach Dan McCarney. About to be 0-5. They may be looking for a coach soon.

        • TCU was almost done and buried. Pick-6 lifeline keeps them in the game. Bah.

I spoke prophetically...McCarney was apparently fired in the locker room right after losing 66-7 to Portland State. Reportedly the largest margin of victory by a FCS team over a FBS team ever.

            • KSU is actively sabotaging their own win.

Cal looks considerably better than Utah early. Bad drop by WR leads to Int. And a fumble gives Utah a FG.

                • And Sparty has gone and got themselves in a game. This drive should have been a 3 and out but they gave up a bad scramble. Heh.

                  • Sparty is in for an even ruder awakening next Saturday at 3:30 pm at Michigan Stadium.

Harbaugh will have the boys ready.

                    Bank on it.

7 total turnovers if the first half, 5 by Cal.
                        Wow that's a lot.

                        • I think the Jared Goff hype train can slow down a bit now. On the one hand, he was the biggest reason Cal had a chance to win that game. On the other, he was reckless way too many times tonight, and Utah is going to make you pay for those kinds of mistakes.

                          • Washington State 45, Oregon 38. That's not going to go over well in Eugene. Oregon's passing game has more or less died since Jeff Lockie had to take over at QB, but they still rushed for over 400 yards in this one. They just can't stop anybody-- they gave up 641 yards.

Since Portland State(whose 66-7 win over North Texas did indeed get Dan McCarney fired) beat Washington State, and Oregon State is 2-3, the Vikings have a pretty good claim on the title of best college football team in the state of Oregon right now.

                            • I actually feel sorry for Entropy and the other Nebraska fans.

But, as it has been all of my life, the teams that don't have to play Michigan or OSU are the ones that rise to the top. Iowa being undefeated is a joke. Take a look at their schedule. The B10 will never do it, but at least one crossover game with # 1 in the East playing #1 in the West and #7E playing #7W just has to happen. These divisions are so incredibly unequal that a two loss team in the East can easily be the best team in the West. And this is not just a transitory thing. The best programs all time in the B10 are OSU, UM, PSU, MSU, UNL.

                              • Randy Edsall has been fired as the coach of the Maryland Terrapins, an anticipated move since reports came out last week that Edsall would be removed before the 2016 season.

Edsall is officially out. Mike Locksley will serve as the Terrapins interim head coach. If Locksley's previous tenure as a head coach is any indication, that's not going to help much.
