      • ..... been waiting for this. No slam on LSU or Miles but this has taken way too long. Dithering local officials hesitant to act with plenty of racial overtones floating around.

        Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                    • That (LHN) can be negotiated if they actually want to come. As it is now, its only 1 football game, the sticking point wouldn't be the one football game and its rights but them airing of Texas high school contests and all the lesser sports coverage (even basketball) on the LHN instead of the BTN...

                      I'd assume, they don't want the BTN money in exchange for them keeping their LHN $.

                        9.) Darius Barksdale, Ole Miss; 4-stars, 5.9 RR, #118 on the Rivals 250, 3rd-best prospect in Mississippi; Spent 2010 at I-AA Jacksonville State in Alabama, where he was the team's 3rd-string RB, rushing for 389 yards on 100 carries (3.9 YPC) and 1 TD; Couldn't qualify out of HS and spent a year at Hargrave Military; After Hargrave, he still couldn't qualify at Ole Miss, and then was arrested for DUI, which was the last straw for Houston Nutt.

Aundre Dean, UCLA; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #178 on the Rivals 250, 24th-best prospect in Texas; Spent 2010 at Texas Christian, where he was a backup RB, rushing for 223 yards on 32 attempts (7.0 YPC) and 1 TD; Spent one year at UCLA, rushing for 22 yards on 10 carries, and then sat out the 2009 season due to NCAA transfer regs.


                        Ray Polk gets caught facemasking Rex Burkhead

                        12.) Milton Knox, UCLA; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #205 on the Rivals 250, 28th-best prospect in California; Sat out the 2010 season after transferring to Fresno State; Was fifth in rushing for UCLA in 2009 with 134 yards; Redshirted in 2008.

                        13.) British Footman, DNQ; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #215 on the Rivals 250, 32nd-best prospect in Florida; Couldnt' qualify and ended up as East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Mississippi, where he was a backup WR and punt/kick returner; Could find no information about him later landing with a 4-year program; I did read some stuff where he wasn't too keen about showing up for class while at EMCC, so that probably had something to do with it.

                        14.) Jamal Womble, North Carolina; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 6th-best prospect in Arizona; Spent the past two seasons at Hutchinson Junior College in Kansas, after failing out of UNC after one year; He committed to Northern Illinois this past winter; In his only year at UNC, he ran for 41 yards on 6 carries, and broke his wrist in the 6th game of the 2008 season.

                        15.) Chris Burns, Pittsburgh; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 11th-best prospect in Pennsylvania; Transferred to I-AA UMass this year; In three years at Pitt, he was a seldom-used RB, rushing 32 times for 78 yards; Unless he's a I-AA All-American this year, you can go ahead and put him down in the 'Bust' category.


                        Tauren Poole ran for 1,034 yards for Tennessee in 2010

                        16.) Tauren Poole, Tennessee; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 25th-best prospect in Tennessee; Tennessee's starting RB in 2010 and was named honorable mention All-SEC; Had 1,034 yards (5.1 YPC) and 11 TDs, and 22 receptions for 171 yards and 1 TD; Was a backup RB in 2008 and 2009.

                        17.) Ivan Matchett, Alabama; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 20th-best prospect in Alabama; Never played a down of football and is now on a medical scholarship at Bama.

Kenneth Davis, Ole Miss; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 11th-best prospect in Mississippi; Couldn't qualify, so - get this - he dropped out of high school to get his GED, so that he could then enroll at Itawamba Community College in Mississippi to get his academics in order; As you can imagine, his plan failed miserably and he never played a down of football.

                        21.) Devin Thomas, Ole Miss; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 61st-best prospect in Texas; Seldom-used backup RB at Ole Miss; Had 6 carries for 13 yards in 2010; Redshirted in 2009; Had 5 carries for 34 yards in 2008.

                        22.) Michael Ball, Nevada; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, 4th-best prospect in Nevada; Backup RB for Nevada in 2010, and had 38 carries for 259 yards and four touchdowns; Is already Nevada's all-time leader in career kick returns and career kick return yardage; Had 201 yards on 19 carries in 2009 as a backup, and redshirted in 2008.

                        23.) Isaac Johnson, Boston College; 3-stars, 5.7 RR, #1-overall prospect in Massachusetts; Quit Boston College last September after 2 years there as a backup cornerback; Has since transferred to UCincinnati, where he'll sit out in 2011 per NCAA transfer regs.
