  • FSU has had opportunities.. But only 1 TD in 4 red zone attempts and 2 fumbles... Not good.

    • Man .. Oregon is destroying FSU now ...

I despise Oregon, but they're a doggone good football team right now. Whomever faces them for the NC is in for a dogfight.

        • FSU has been living dangerously all year with mistakes. That doesn't work against the Ducks.

          • There are two differences between the Ducks, who are a spready, up tempo team and the rest who claim they are. One, they can run the ball. Two, they can tackle on defense .... Meaning the players are in a position to make the play. That's good coaching.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                  • Impressive comeback by spartie and the SEC-reality check was in full-effect today.

                    • Its true the SEC (especially the SEC West) has been humbled just a tad.

Now that I've accepted the thought that MSU and OSU both won, .. I think its fitting that B1G teams knocked off both Alabama teams.

Only question in my mind is, what happened to Wisconsin vs Ohio? Did they play their JV squad? The way the Badgers got hammered in the B1G CCG, I figured Auburn would absolutely drill them.

                          • The problem is not so much the SEC fans (although they are part of it because they get all lathered up by ESPN) but ESPN itself who is so heavily invested in the SEC that they cannot possibly be honest brokers in reporting CFB news.

What is it, 2017, that this gets renegotiated? Not sure how you break this up. Thoughts?

Don't look now, but the Big Ten East may be the best division in college football. And I'm talking THIS season! And it ain't getting any worse.

Adding Rutgers and Maryland really turned shit around! Told ya, Hannibal! IN YER FACE!

                              • Think about this.

The BCS system used for so many years was fundamentally flawed, and those flaws were painfully obvious last night. Under the BCS, the "championship" game was played with two teams chosen by a combination of newspapers and computers. I know there was the coaches' poll, but they just reflected the newspapers.

The two teams this year that would have played in the BCS big game were probably FSU as the number 1 pick based on record, and Alabama, based on the SEC bias. Does anyone disagree?

We have probably had BCS "champions" in the past who would have been eliminated in a real playoff.

I think the ideal system is to get rid of one OoC game, and use the extra week to expand to an eight team playoff. The first round would be played at home for the first four ranked teams. The four losers would just go into the regular Bowl pool selection.

The SEC BS may have been crushed some time ago if a playoff had been used.
