If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

  • I think if you're looking at a long-term evolution you can imagine, that if EVERYBODY in the B1G and PAC are like-minded, you just drop the pretense of a national-level sport and create your own little post-season tournament. But that's not necessarily the case. You have OSU and USC pretty dedicated to the SEC approach, and maybe Oregon too. Does that ruin the integrity of the thing? I don't know. But I agree that, eventually, the SEC will kill its own supposed golden goose.

            • SD is more corrupt than Texas? Riiiiiiiiiight.

More likely that SD prosecutors are less corrupt than those in Texas.

              • I betcha there's been one incident that skewed that. I'm surprised Texas wasn't higher myself.

                    • I'd like to think Nebraska's bitches were lilly-white, but given the amount of one-party-dominance and cronyism that goes on I suspect that its similar to Texas...shit just gets swept under the rug.

                      • Wouldn't that happen everywhere though?

                        • South Dakota being on there seems kind of weird. You don't hear about it much in that context.

Not unless everywhere is equally cronyistic and one-party dominant.

                            • My sense is that making a listing like this is an enormous waste of time.

Politics, and the corruption (widely defined) that is part of it in governance, is a way of life even though we think democratically governed countries have less of that sort of thing than those countries that are not particularly democratic, despite what they say.

Who gives a rat's ass whether one state is politically more corrupt than another? At some level every government struggles with the self interests of its politicians that fosters corruption.

The thing to be more concerned about is what the electorate is willing to do about it. IMO, not very much. That is because there is as much self interest among this group than there is among dirty politicians.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                              • I posted the graphic in the context of football, there's the LOL/SEC factor. But if we want to get a little bit serious about it then Fuck the South. Pretty disgusting place.
