From what I've seen of Jadeveon Clowney so far this season, I'd say he took his preseason hype seriously. He's an outrageously gifted player, but right now, he looks like a kid who was thinking about protecting his draft stock all offseason instead of working to get better. James Hurst of North Carolina handled him fairly well in South Carolina's opener, and while he looked better against Georgia, he hasn't played nearly as well as he's capable of playing so far this season.
I'd say the official death watches on the coaching tenures of Mack Brown and Lane Kiffin can now commence, if they hadn't already started before today. I don't know what was more pitiful-- Texas' defense or USC's passing game. No team that has Marqise Lee lining up at WR should ever only be able to throw for 54 yards in a game. USC fans were booing vociferously even before it became clear USC was going to lose. I don't think there's any way back for Kiffin after that one.

And he has his excuses all lined up, today it was his ankle (that got hurt in practice) last week he had a stomach virus. Vandys OL shouldn't be much of a challenge next week - if he's healthy .
Pretty much every team lays an egg once a season, maybe it was just their (Texas, USC) turn. Both programs appear headed for a downward trajectory but both are in such talent hotbeds that they'll be turned around very quickly with a good HC hire.
What a beautiful morning to wake up to! Notre Dame, Texass, and USC all losers. I means losers on the field of play, not just their inherent social and genetic inferiority. What a bright shiny day! Uko of SoCo screams at a reporter "I didn't come here for this s*t!" showing Southern Cal's sense of entitlement is bruised. Awwww, I feel so sad. Re-sign Kiffin for 20 more years! The "Hook 'en Horns" crowd take it up the butt and suddenly they're screaming about the impending world wide apocalypse. Sweet! And anytime ND loses to the Maize and Blue, the water is cleaner and the air sweeter. What a wonderful Sunday morning!!

Plus two SEC "powers" lost yesterday. The always over rated South Carolina lost to Georgia, who, BTW, lost to Clemson last week, and another perpetually over rated team, Florida, got beat by unranked Miami. So three teams in the SEC east have a loss going into week three.
It was a good day in College football
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
If Tennessee ever gives up on Butch Jones, it will be the biggest mistake in Val football history. The guy can coach, and will have the Vals in NC contention within 5 years. Book it.
I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle
UCLA wide receiver Nick Pasquale died Sunday when he was hit by a car in San Clemente, Calif.
Pasquale, 20, was hit before 1:30 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, the Orange County coroner's office said, according to the Orange County Register.
The driver stopped to call police after the accident, the newspaper reported.
Pasquale, a freshman, was a preferred walk-on from San Clemente High. He did not play in UCLA's season opener against Nevada last week.
