Oh please, you honestly think that was the first time Gene Smith alerted contracts? Meyer likely had been on OSU's payroll most of that fall. he didn't have to courage to actually coach the game so they let punching-bag Fickell take the beating, while Urbie "hid" in recruiting.

And to continue with the chicken/egg thing, let us remind ourselves that there was a time when the great Urban had no national titles, and no conference titles. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Coach Hoke is undefeated at home, including the last home game with OlieO. I think he will add another win over ohio in November, along with his first trip to the B1G Championship game. Maybe we'll get to see that "repeat" that you guys were so opposed to back in 2005 after all ....
