More interesting, what becomes of the football side of the 'new' Big East. Right now they are just Connecticut, Cincy, USF, UCF, Houston, SMU, Tulane & Memphis... With Boise & SD State as 'football' only members that may or may not join just yet. ECU I think is expected to join as a football only member too...

Talk they want to pluck the best of the CUSA and MWC. Not a lot to choose from, but it makes sense to form an 'east' division and 'west' division, they'd need quite a few MWC schools; e.g. UNLV, New Mexico, Colorado State, etc... The armed forces (Air Force, Navy, Army) would obviously have an open invitation too...

Is it a good thing for CFB for the Big East to severely weaken the MWC & CUSA who in turn will just weaken the Sun Belt and WAC? I think it's in the Big East's best interest, the winner of the Big East should have a good likelihood of getting a spot in one of the BCS bowls.
