The Wall Street Journal put together a "College Football's Grid of Shame". Looks pretty legit to me, other than the Sparty love. ;)

    • baylor football is as corrupt as their basketball program, they just haven't been caught. aTM should not be in the top half with their history and should not be equal to UNL or Michigan in powerhouse.

      btw.. Georgia is a powerhouse???

      • As corrupt as OSU is, they have no business being ranked worse than Oregon and Auburn.

        • LOL @ that anyways.

          • I think it's based only on success/scandal of the past couple years.

That said, I am amused and confused as to how South Carolina has higher "powerhouse" status than OSU, Nebraska, and yes, Michigan

            • And technically speaking, Auburn was cleared of all charges. The NCAA threw up its hands and declared itself powerless to make up rules and punishments as it goes along. A completely different stance than they took with Penn State.

              • UMass is down to UConn right now, 37-0. I think it's a pretty safe bet that the UMass game won't be a tough one this time.

                      • UMass had 59 total yards last night against UConn.

Mike Cox rushed for negative yardage.

Maybe you haven't heard, South Carolina is in the SEC. So of course its a powerhouse. Who cares if its had one winning season in the last 50 years...

Is that the excuse the NCAA came up with? It seems like it needn't make up rules to punish a school for paying a player's dad $200,000.

                          • Holy crap. I just looked up South Carolina Football. They have been playing since 1892 and won ONE league title, and have had three all Americans. (and 17 bowl games...)
