                      Not surprising. I do think the Arky Athletic Department wanted to keep Bobby but realized from a PR standpoint it just wasn't possible.

                          I will give them credit for firing the slimeball...but they knew what they were getting when they hired him...so hard to feel sorry for Arky.

                          Petrino is a slimeball. Always has been. Always will be. Look for him to try to get back into the NFL. Good luck Bobby!

                              Guess we'll know the details eventually, but according to some Arkansas media, Petrino may have been given the option of staying with "penalties" and he refused to agree to whatever the so-called penalties were. Thus, yer fired.

                                Jeff Long used to be the associate AD at Michigan-- he started at UM as a football staff administrator under Bo Schembechler. I kind of had the feeling he wasn't going to stand for this.
