A summation of the playoff proposals the presidents, AD's, commishes are looking at. Particularly interesting is option #4: Four Team Plus...
Option #4 is basically the B10 and Pac 12 champs in the Rose Bowl and the 4 highest ranked teams in two other bowls. The Rose Bowl winner is no guarantee of playing in the NT game unless one of the teams is ranked #1 or #2.
If one of the B10/Pac 12 teams is ranked #3, you'd have one of #1 or #2 to lose to go to the NT game.

Football coaches who win at a high level have been known to survive the most serious of storms. The storm that has engulfed Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino might get worse before it gets better, and it has already become a huge embarrassment for the university.
Benny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."
I think this is probably an overreaction. I'm guessing he'll get some public slap on the wrist from the athletic department and he'll publicly apologize for it and it will be forgotten.
Lying to the press is one thing. Lying to your boss is another. If he was on thin ice it would be an easy excuse to dump him. The reality is in the end it will come down to his record on the field.
But hiring this woman while he was having an affair with her may be the lever that puts the boulder in motion to fire him.
