I'm all for voters doing a de novo review of all the top teams once this weekend's games are completed, but I would hope nobody would include Sagarin computation as an integral part of such a review.

Not only that, but we have been led to believe that the SEC is SO MUCH BETTER than any other conference that we should just hand them the national title without them even having to play for it.

Yet LSU can't even manage a single first down in 30 minutes of football. Ridiculous.

SEC has done the best job the last 20 yrs telling us they are the best.. It has worked. And the NC wins have cemented it.

Time for the other conferences to start demanding equal playing field.

No conference is better at slapping itself on the back than the SEC. Their coaches remind me of politicians the way they are constantly stumping for how great their conference is.

The SEC is great at understanding that in the current climate the games are not won only on the field but also in the media, and that's part of the overall gameplan. Perhaps they learned from Tom Osborne and Scott Frost. I think it would be terrible if every team engaged in that sort of behaviour.

To be fair...the SEC has also produced some very, very good teams,

The SEC has six programs that are capable of producing a national champion almost any given year. No other conference can really say that (they have perrenial bottom-feeders too, but so also does the Big10).

They aren't leaps and bounds better than everyone else but they ARE the best.
