  • THE most jacked thing about the whole situation is if Georgia BEAT LSU to win the SEC Championship, LSU would STILL play Alabama for the national championship, not the SEC Champions, UGA. Not that I think it would happen but it could. Georgia is playing as good of ball as anybody, so what's that say? Okay don't even win your conference, or your division as long as you sell a lot of tickets it's cool. It's always been a popularity contest but this is ridiculous. Michigan was held out for not winning it's conference in '06 and I took it in stride because I looked at it like a playoff game. But the SEC west is getting mulligans? bullshit.

BTW WAR DAMN EAGLE!!! (only they can stop this)

    • Arkansas was a total fraud anyways at #3. They are maybe top 15 but not top 10.

      • Heh heh. Utah loses today to Colorado at home. Wasn't it only two years ago they were telling us how they could easily win a major conference?

Lots harder to look good when you've got to show up every week.

I would like our chances against them in a Bowl game.

          • Arkansas has a damn good squad.... And we may see them in a bowl game. Would you rather have them in the Capitol One Bowl or Houston in the Sugar or Fiesta Bowl... Pretend money isn't an object, football only question.

I don't think UM is a legit top team right now and NEITHER is a good matchup for us but a loss vs the SEC would be par for the course for the conference. A loss to Houston and jeeez would we ever hear it, no matter how good they are. Either way the hay is not in the barn yet and fucking ohio damn I hate them might just ruin any talk of a top flight bowl opponent.

            • Who has Arkansas beat? An over-rated South Carolina team and that's about it. They seem to be right at the level I think we are at.

Obviously, I'd rather have Michigan play the hogbacks because of name recognition. Houston is probably better but playing them is somewhat of a no-win situation. You don't get much credit for beating a good team or you lose to a team that nobody really knows, outside of their QB.

              • I disagree that we wouldn't get any credit for beating Houston. They are undefeated and ranked in the Top 10. And it would be a BCS bowl. 11-2 with a BCS Bowl victory would be huge.

                • I'd rather just have Houston play LSU and see if they are the Boise State of this year.

                  • High flying spread offenses often kill BigTen teams. To the point that UM tried to put one in and was famously unsuccessful. Lose to Houston like JD said and everybody would be right back to laughing at Michigan. Beat them and who cares, you played a nobody. Everybody expects the Big Ten to lose to the SEC. So a win over the Hogs or at least play them tough would be better for the program.

Capitol One Bowl and Arkansas for me.

                    • Just a horrid overthrow by Auburn's QB give bammy a pick 6. So much for a potential upset. Auburn sucks.

                      • I've wondered for weeks why they were ranked, this will give them a 5th loss.

                        • SEC rep, not because of an accurate assessment.

It's too bad. I was hoping they could pull one out of their ass to get payback for that psycho redneck Bammy fan that poisoned their trees.

Exactly. I don't buy into the whole "whatever the results are, they prove how awesome the SEC is" game.
