I’m dumbfounded by the decisions many of these players are making. Such as Cam Ward sitting out the 2nd half of their bowl game on Saturday.
DJ U declaring for the draft (LOL). Add DJ U to my list of college QBs that I will guarantee have no shot at succeeding to the NFL. Any thought of drafting him is moronic and the team decision maker would then be dumbassed. Sean Clifford 2 years ago. Cardale Jones a decade ago being drafted because he lucked out on moon ball throws all of the time. Logan Thomas from Virginia Tech before he switched to TE. The list goes on. Etc.
I felt fired up about this subject after reading how Tyler Shough opted out of the Louisville vs Washington game tomorrow to declare for the draft. WTF? What has he done to think there’s a successful NFL path for him. I mean, Shough isn’t hilariously bad as DJ U, but come on… play in the bowl game.
Carson Beck declaring for the draft is another decision that happened. From being hyped up as a 1st RD’er to I’m not sure if he will be drafted on day 2. Wonder if he should have decided to return to Georgia…

Then again… sometimes players luck out and don’t have to pass the eye test in college to have a successful pro career. Look up and understand the career of Tim Boyle. Long time NFL backup basically because coaches and teammates find him likable. Absolutely terrible football player in college and the NFL.

Unregulated NIL and the portal have imposed drastic and long lasting impacts on CFB. Agents of these young players with dollar signs in their eyes, are getting rainbows blown up their butts with false hopes of getting drafted by NFL teams. There's a cost to that and we're seeing that cost on team unity and the creation of unmanageable rosters with the uncertainty and instability of them increasing. It's driving HC coaches nutz. Some leave, fed up with the game. Sad, really.

It's clearly a fact of life in CFB now and for the foreseeable future so, those that hang on, both players and coaches, will figure out how to deal with it. Fans seem not to care if gate attendance is any indication. They still enjoy the show and are paying increasing prices to watch it live.

BERT’s antics were memorable. It all stems from the college football rule where if an offense substitutes, the defense gets to substitute. Often causing a rush to get the snap off, delay of game, or timeout. NFL rules have it right here IMO… and Peyton Manning would always take advantage of defensive substitutions.

That and Illinois defensive players were aggressive with being down for injury. Causing a stoppage in play. Some injuries legit, others not.

This game is predictable right down to Penn State trying a ridiculous trick play on 3rd and 3 when they run for 6 at will.

4th and 2 on the opening drive on PSU 30 and Boise goes for the field goal. What would Dan Campbell do?

Boise is keeping it close but they are just giving up plays by going to Jeanty. PSU is keying in him and rendering him ineffective but PSU is getting carved up by Maddux Madsen. Air it out all the time.

Three games extra and trying to force it and still couldn’t break his record. Not even counting the 200+ Sanders got in the bowl game they don’t count.
