  • I think they were actually advocating for 4 spots each which I don't think would ever fly with the other members.

    • They will probably go to a 16 team format quickly...so that #17 can then bitch and moan...

      • If they keep adding teams, they'll have to add more weeks to the actual playoffs. So, maybe CCG's will eventually go away.

          • Yeah 16 playoff teams is too inflated, but sounds like it could happen ($$$). 6 playoff spots is the sweet spot IMHO and unfortunately college football is heading the other way.

We’re never going to see a regular season game like 2023 OSU vs M again.

            • you go to the 12 best teams and it would be nothing big 10 vs SEC tournament

having teams like asu and indiana and boise state does create a cinderella atmosphere that one of the david teams may beat goliath

                    • Don’t make picks until studying opt outs the day of. That is key.

College football is becoming goofier in this new era.

Rich Rod back to West Virginia.

Bill Belichick to UNC. With rumors he could bring in big name former assistants. Such as maybe Matt Patricia, Joe Judge, or Josh McDaniels. They already brought in Michael Lombardi as GM.

                      CHAOS.

I have hated Notre Dame my entire life and would normally agree with you, but my son played AAU basketball with Riley Leonard and they are pretty good friends. He is a really good kid. I am rooting for him to do well and I guess that means rooting for Notre Dame to beat GA. (I would root for most teams to beat GA, but that is a different story.)

They can get their asses kicked in the next game, though

I am also rooting for Ohio State to beat Tennessee and then lose to Oregon.

I need a shower now. I feel dirty for posting this.

                            • BTW. The best thing I saw yesterday was Shane Gillis clowning on Nick Sabin on College Game Day. It got a bit awkward on set for a minute or so when Gillis insinuated that the SEC payed players prior to NIL, but Sabin handled it. I don't think Sabin appreciated Gillis making fun of his hat and calling him Alabama Jones, though. Ha!
