  • Speaking of Iowa, here's the latest on Brian Ferentz watch through 7 games:

    20.9 ppg (#113 in FBS)

247.7 ppg (dead last in FBS, #130)

Passing offense, 116.6 ypg (#128, only Navy and Air Force are lower)

McNamara is still their leading passer and All is their leading receiver. Both are now out for the season.

    Record: 6-1. LOL

Here's the rest of their schedule. My god, they're going to win the West.

    10/21 Minnesota
    11/4 @ NW
    11/11 Rutgers
    11/18 Illinois
    11/24 @ Nebraska

There are currently only 2 teams with a winning record in the West: Iowa and Wisconsin and the Hawkeyes just beat them head-to-head. If they simply finish 3-2 against that schedule, Wisconsin would have to go 5-1 in their last 6 games to edge out Iowa. The other 5 teams in the division all have 1 conference win and aren't in any danger of getting in the race.

    Wisconsin's remaining schedule:

    10/21 @ Illinois
    10/28 OSU
    11/4 @ Indiana
    11/11 NW
    11/18 Nebraska
    11/25 @ Minnesota

Assuming they lose to OSU, they'll need to win the other 5 games and get help.

    • Jeff, I thought this was in the Big Ten thread. Could you please move it over there so we don't litter other threads with talk of the Big Ten West? Thanks. Also, these are the final weeks of the entity known as the Big Ten West and it can't die fast enough.

I'm actually disappointed for Erick All and Cade McNamara. They deserve better. Especially McNamara.

I think Cade still has eligibility left. Not sure about All. Too lazy to look it up.

        • Mike, I can but I'm not sure which posts you want moved from here to the Big Ten thread. Is it just yours or are there others. I can see maybe 3 or 4 including yours that are pure Big Ten posts. LMK
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

          • As usual, the eventual winner of the West is determined by the B10 schedule maker. Whoever avoids UM, Ohio, or PSU is the winner. That has always been the case. The West has never won a B10 Championship Game. Those are just the facts. The SEC would have corrected this imbalance after 2 or 3 years.

Imagine if PSU were in the West. They would win it every year. The same could be said for OSU or UM.

If you want to bitch about a cupcake schedule, look at Iowa's.

            • Jeff, I'd move 19,860 forward over to the BT thread.

I can't bulk move posts - or at last I've never done it/maybe don't know how. Going all the way back to #19860 means about 5 pages or more of posts. I'd recommend we leave posts where they are and we just keep this thread going forward free of discussion of BT teams - those go in the thread "Around the Big Ten." Discussions of other CFB teams goes here. I'll post a Forum Admin note to that effect.

                    • That’s fine. It was actually just 5 posts about the BT West not 5 pages. But it doesn’t really matter. No biggie. There will be plenty of opportunity to mock them in the Big Ten thread.

                            • Guys, it is midseason. Stop posting likes it’s fucking May. I expect more from Big Ten fans… well, maybe not so much from the West division folks. For them, successfully refilling an ice cube tray passes as a significant accomplishment.
