Another shitty rule change to pile on top of every other shitty change that has been rammed down our throats as collge football fans.
Welp, they have finally done it. They have finally killed my interest in the sport. The past few weeks, I have only watched Michigan, plus a couple of B1G games. I no longer give a shit about the sport and next year I might not even watch Michigan. I have wondered for years what my breaking point would be, and I found it. Maybe I should thank them for breaking my addiction, freeing up my time on Saturdays, and allowing me to accumulate marital capital.
I'll watch Michigan this weekend, probably on delay. If it turns into a body bag game, I'll fast forward through the other team's possessions. I might watch ND vs. OSU. In prior years, I would have made it a point to watch a few others, like Iowa-Penn State and Colorado-Oregon. But not now. Don't care. Other than Michigan and maybe a little bit of the B1G, the sport is dead to me now.
I got married 17 years ago. I made sure that the wedding and honeymoon were complete before college football season started that year. It has taken less than two decades to destroy something that I used to follow religiously.
