    • Does Minnesota return much from last year?

      • They lost 3 starters off the OL but other than that pretty solid. They are an 8-4 type team.

        • Something like that. Competitive Gophers team.

I have them at 7-5 because they have auto-losses vs M and OSU. Tough games like at Iowa and at UNC. Assuming they don’t go undefeated against the rest of their opponents. They might have been a West favorite if they didn’t get a tough draw with the B1G East schedule.

          • Goofers lost their good starting RB also, otherwise, they seem in pretty good shape.

              • Tonight’s notable games:
                - Florida at Utah. 8pm EST, ESPN.
                - Nebraska at Minnesota, 8pm EST, FOX.

Might be switching back and forth.
Florida will be starting former Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz. Sounds like Utah is going with a rotation of backup QBs. Complemented by supposedly a strong Utah OLine and defense. Some say Utah is a dark horse CFP candidate. We’ll see if they can survive this tough game without Cam Rising.

Not much to say about Nebraska vs Minnesota other than expecting a Minnesota win. Can’t trust year 1 Matt Rhule teams.

                      • The ACC voted to admit Stanford, Cal and.... SMU! JFC.

In a straw poll more than three weeks ago, four ACC schools dissented -- Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina and NC State. One of them needed to flip for the vote to pass, and all eyes were on NC State chancellor Randy Woodson going into the meeting.

It was a 12-3 vote Friday with NC State flipping, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN's Andrea Adelson.
It's one thing to expand into new geographic reasons but at least bring in something that adds value. ESPN reports that Stanford and Cal are coming in for a 30% payout for 7 years. LOL. 30% of what the ACC makes.

For Stanford and Cal, it will be 30 percent of a whole ACC share for the next seven years. That number will jump to 70 percent in year eight, 75 percent in year nine and then they'll both receive full financial shares in the tenth year, per sources.
The same ACC that FSU wants out of like a prisoner wants to escape prison. SMU is coming in for ZERO media rights dollars. ZERO for NINE years. Apparently their boosters will make up the loss of their $7M annual deal with the AAC. That's a very long play on their part. There's a good chance the ACC will look very different by then.

I can only imagine FSU and Clemson are livid and will jump ship at the first opportunity.

No doubt. And it won't even cost the schools extra travel expense. All upside.

                              • I hope not. The SEC doesn’t need more teams. Give them to the B1G. We’re good to stand pat.
