I think he's a helluva a coach, and as much as I mocked K-State when they year-after-year ran up the scores against patsy after patsy and won tons of games back in the 90's, I can't help but root for the old guy now. Sure, they got knocked down a notch a few weeks ago (vs. Oklahoma) but since have rebounded nicely (almost beating Okie St.), and have fared much better than almost anyone predicted pre-season.

          • They collapsed after he retired and have since been resurrected. I'm sure he's a decent coach but I'll just assume they're cheating their asses off.

            • KSU doesn't have the money to cheat... And they don't have high profile players

              • KSU has had a soft schedule, they've lost their only two games against ranked opponents.

                  • SDSU, I think. We did recruit a kid away from Boise, but then I think he verballed somewhere else again.

Thats the way I see it too, Alabama has the edge over Oregon and Oklahoma in that scenario.

                      • I don't see how Alabama could do it. They are in the same SEC division as LSU.

                        • Yeah I don't see how a team that doesn't even win their division can be considered for the MNC. That would be a travesty. I hope Okie State wins out - last thing I want to see is an all SEC final. I don't think I could handle the ego overload from SEC fans.

                          • OK/OK State winner should get it. LSU has already beaten Bama and Oregon.

                            • After the SEC blew a collective gasket over the rematch possibilities in 2006 it would be amusing to watch the hypocrits talk out the other side of their mouth about how great an LSU-Bama rematch would be.

                              • In that scenario you'd have this BCS top 5:

                                1 LSU
                                2 Alabama
                                3/4 Oklahoma/Oregon

Oregon would have lost to LSU worse than Alabama did and Oklahoma would have lost to a 5+ loss Texas Tech team.

Also what if Arkansas beats LSU in a couple of weeks? Total bedlam (Arkansas's only loss was to Alabama)

OK/OK State winner should get it.
Oklahoma's home loss to a horrible Texas Tech team is better than a 3point OVERTIME loss to the #1 team in the country how?
