Sorry, AA ..... but Wiz's post is just too good. AND THAT IS a rarityMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Now Talent is taking the troll Froot Loops road, I know I don't need to school you ... but
Bo and Michigan's goal was to win the B10 and the Rose Bowl. Like Liney said Michigan didn't have opportunities to go Bowl games outside the Rose. I'll bet any money Bo would take RB win (though he didn't fair well out there) over any other bowl no matter where Michigan was ranked year-end.

Woody paid MSU back later on when he reported them for recruiting violations, and they got hit with NCAA "no bowl" sanctions.
But MSU still looks at OSU as an 'ally' .... enemy of my enemy is my friend, .. and all that ..."in order to lead America you must love America"

Well, the point, obviously, is that M wasn’t winning a national title in 1973 regardless of whatever the B10 did or if they changed the rules on bowls. Zero chance.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Right. Which was zero. Because in 1973 the coaches poll had already awarded Alabama the national title BEFORE the bowl game and #1 UAT and #2 Notre Dame played in the Sugar.
Ohio State obliterated USC 42-17.
There's a definite case to be made that OSU and M were the two best teams in the country. But the tie cost each absolutely any chance at the national title.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

This is another case of where the players were not allowed to determine the outcome. See: M v TCU.
And Wiz: I'll save you the trouble.

Yeah, pre-75 B10 bowl rules sucked. Unfair and just stupid. That fact doesn’t change the above facts.
