Ferris State finished off Colorado Mines today for the NCAA Division II National Championship by a score of 41-14.
With the win, Ferris repeats as Division II National Champions, having won the title last season.
Congrats to the Bulldogs.
This has a bit of local flavor for us in Shiawassee County. Ferris' Head Coach is Tony Annese, who grew up in Corunna. His father was Nick Annese, who was a legendary coach here at Corunna HS for decades. Corunna High School named its stadium after Nick Annese. Tony and all of his brothers played football at Corunna High School.
Shiawassee County's claim to fame in football is for two people. MSU alum Brad Van Pelt, and Nick Annese. Looks like we may be adding Tony Annese to that list. He's been highly successful everywhere he has coached."in order to lead America you must love America"Comment
