If the final four are:
UGA
UM
TCU
OSU
- then -
I believe (of this group), OSU is the team with the best chance to knock off UGA. They have the QB that can make the throws, and the WR's who can catch and run the routes. Not sure what OSU's RB injury situation may be, but if they get any of those really good RB's back, you can add that to their resume. With that kind of time to prepare and get well, they could be a problem for UGA.
M vs TCU could be another game like M vs Purdue. The Toadies have a QB who can get hot and make a lot of throws. But, from what I saw yesterday, they don't have a running threat even as good as Purdue's. M's best bet would be to play keep-away from that offense, and grind out several time consuming TD drives. I wasn't impressed at all with TCU's run defense, which is bad news for the Toadies.
UM v UGA is still too far off, and it has the potential to not happen.

M will need OSU to beat Georgia. Unfortunately, that's not happening in a million years.
FWIW, there's no way Henderson is going to be healthy. Miyan Williams will be more healthy but still banged up. JSN ain't playing. And an underrated injury -- Michael Hall -- their best DT -- by far and away -- has been battling a shoulder injury since week 4 that should require surgery. When he was healthy he was just outstanding. Now he can barely play and they have to play pedestrian DTs.
Their injuries this year are ridiculous. And there's zero way -- and I mean ZERO way they can even hang around against Georgia unless they were fully healthy.
So enjoy the semifinal cakewalk. But, M's days are numbered, too.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I don't have any illusions about M beating UGA.
The Dawgs would have to play their worst ballgame of the last two years, and M would have to play the best game in program history.
But if they get into that game, it will be their best accomplishment since the playoffs began. I guess that's something."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Yeah, It appears all the commentators and color guys have TCU staying at three. I love it. Historic. Will set up a great two part trivia question: name the only CFP poll team - ever - to not drop after a loss and the team that annihilated them in the playoff?
TCU is decent. They are not great. They would be the dog in any matchup between them and any team in the top 10 (like they were yesterday). They had five 1-score games before losing to KState in their championship game. Just a decent team in the right place at the right time. Oh, I know: “We have to respect their “gutty” loss to KState!” No, no we don’t. It just makes Georgia’s path easier."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Yeah, I don't know if Georgia's path is easier or not. I guess if Alabama were in it then Georgia would have to beat them, which is harder than OSU. And then M. TCU is a gift for M.
The thing is about yesterday's game, which I'm sure you know, is that they didn't lose some game they should have won. They were generally second best all day and pretty lucky to be in OT. Against K-State.
M is going to fuck them the fuck up.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

My comment about the easier path is simply the logical assumption that the stronger the overall pool is, the more likely that they get a defeat, but you may be right. Michigan will dispatch them with ease so maybe the Wolverines can spend more time resting players and preparing for the WPIAOS (Worst Person In All Of Sports)."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
