Rooting for TCU and USC because I think it’s better for new teams to make the CFP. The Vegas spreads on those games are actually very close.

    TCU -2.5 vs Kansas State
    USC - 3.0 vs Utah

I watched the USC at Utah game a month ago… it was popcorn entertainment. Both offenses couldn’t be stopped. Utah converted on that final 2 point play and somewhat lucked into a win. I thought USC was better from an eye test perspective because everything came easy for them.

Those two games should be very interesting. USC and TCU could easily be in trouble.

    • KSU has had a history of pulling upsets in the B12 Champ Game...and the Utah-USC is a tossup to me as it will be high scoring...but I think the faves will win...barely.

      • Just please give us a non-SEC team in the playoff game.

          • IMHO the ideal playoff outcome for UM is UGA, TCU, and USC at #4. We would be favored against TCU and then USC has maybe a 10% shot at upsetting UGA, but I think that we could beat USC.

              • With our luck, LSU will pull the upset over UGA in convincing fashion thus dropping the Dawgs all the way to #4. Michigan, fresh off a thumping of Purdon't will move up to #1.

                • Safe bet would be:
                  - Georgia defeats LSU
                  - M defeats Purdue
                  - 1 of TCU or USC is upset in their conference championship game.

I would probably moneyline parlay that. Leaning towards thinking TCU is the team that’s upset. So USC wins.

My final CFP prediction to be revealed on Sunday:
                  1. Georgia
                  2. M
                  3. USC
                  4. Ohio State

Georgia takes the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Home field advantage for them. M gets the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona. Championship game in LA.

                  • 1-loss TCU > Ohio State, IMO. They have better wins, I think. If they get blasted, maybe.

I still think UAT is going to be #5. Ohio State #6. So it's all moot. And, honestly, whatever.

                    • Well, we’ll know what the committee thinks of Ohio State vs Alabama tomorrow. Glad that will be settled early prior to the conference championship games.

I think it’ll be Ohio State #5, Alabama #6, but you never know.

                      • I want no part in it. Georgia would beat us by 2-TDs. Minimum. And I can’t stand the Kirby gloat and smirk on him beating Bama back-to-back.

Let us go to the Sugar and get beaten by Kansas State or whomever, and we would because since it’s not a championship I’m sure we’d have a number of opt-outs trying to protect themselves for the Draft.

Very plausible. I'll be rooting for USC and TCU to win their games. I wonder if they'd flip USC to 3 and drop TCU to 4 if they both win.

The hosts of the two semifinal games this year are the Peach Bowl (Atlanta) and Fiesta Bowl (Phoenix). The #1 seed gets to select their destination so Peach Bowl for Georgia if they beat LSU. That would send Michigan west to the Fiesta. Seems like a matchup with USC would be highly sought by the PTB.

I think so too. OSU will be the 1st team on the waitlist if either of USC or TCU loses. I give them a very good shot at still getting into this thing.

Correct. Ohio State can saunter off to Pasadena where they an invent new ways to fuck up a game against some shitty ass P12 team.
