I have fond memories of Miami (FL) being relevant in college football. V-Tech too. The early to mid 2000s with USC, V-Tech, Miami (FL), M, Texas… nostalgia.

But nah... Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson nowadays … That’s boring.

Fingers crossed with M. This #4 ranking might be as high as they go with how recruiting is going. This year and 2023 is the last great chance.

If major CFB eventually breaks off from the NCAA, I think we'd hear a lot of Pete Rozelle's favorite word, "parity". No school is going to join the group of breakaways without some guarantees that 4-5 schools will not be able to totally dominate. Why would schools leave to join say, a group of 36-48 'breakaway' teams just so most of them can become Saturday fodder for 4-5 teams? They'd be better off to stay in the NCAA.

I'm not sure what could be done. Maybe some sort of draft, instead of recruiting? Something would have to be done so that every team could feel like they have a shot at a NC.
