Believe me, I thought they'd (UC) get locked out.
They put OSU above ND for a reason.....
OSU's loss meant all UC needed to do was win and they were in.
OSU win and with the ALA win, UC was going to get locked out win or lose......
Only two SEC in the CFP. Yes, they'll make sure there is no rematch so we'll play one of the two IF we win.
UM wins, how do you drop them?
UC won, convincingly, so how do they stay at #4 - for a 3rd straight week?
Remember, UM leapfrogged them from #6 to #2.....
If they are held in that little regard, then shit, just put ND at #4 and be done with it......

It's virtually guaranteed to be Georgia at this point. I can't envision a scenario where we play Alabama and, as you said, no way does the committee rematch Georgia and Alabama.
Unless we beat Iowa 56-3 or something insane like that.
Which they may very well have to do.
Didn't see the Baylor win vs OSU. Thought for sure OSU would take care of business.
OSU wins, Cinci gets locked out and it's simple (ALA vs OSU, UM vs UGA)
With Cinci in the question remains do they stay at 4 or move up to 3.
ALA and UM are locks at #1 and #2 provided UM seals the deal tonight.

I could see the committee moving us to #1, but the more I think of it, the more I think there's no way that we play Cincy. If we get moved up to #1, they'll drop Georgia to #4 so that they don't play Bama. If we stay at #2, Georgia will be #3 and 'Bama will be #1. Either way, the relatively winnable semifinal that we hoped for is not going to happen.
I just want Michigan to win the Big Ten Championship
I don't give a rat's hind end if the playoff committee drops Michigan completely out of the playoffs. Just win the B1G Championship, then tell them where they want M to play. Bowl game, playoffs, .. whatever.
Let the playoff committee take 4 teams that they 'like better' than Michigan. If they leave Michigan out of the playoffs, then we go to the Rose Bowl as B1G Champions. I'd like that a lot.
If Michigan gets IN, then just play whomever is in front of you, and give it your best effort. Win, and move on. Lose, take off your helmet, shake the opponent's hand, come back home and start getting ready for 2022. We're not even supposed to be in this position. M was supposedly no better than 3rd in the BTE. Some had us at #5 in the BTE.

This is when you realize that expansion means nothing.
Just means more of the big dogs get to eat, nothing more.

This is the feeling Lions fans have had for eternity. Just win the division and everything else will sort itself out.
They have done that what? 3 times in the last 65 years?
Sad that we have reached that level with the Wolverines.
