Notre Dame fans really want Marcus Freeman as HC. Keep the system that works in place strategy.

Pry is originally from Lexington, Virginia, and he spent three years working at VT as a graduate assistant at the beginning of his coaching career. This would be a very uncharacteristic hire for Whit Babcock-- he almost always hires people with head coaching experience-- but I suspect it may be the best hire available to him at this point. Assuming this report is true, I would say this hire is going to be a tough sell to the Virginia Tech fan base. Pry is going to have to win a lot of people over very quickly.

That would be good news. Anything that gets a good assistant out of Happy Valley, since Franklin relies totally on his assistants and has about a 50/50 track record when it comes to hiring good ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if the committee drops Cincy to 4 to give Georgia the worst of the 4, which is what should happen. If Okie State and Bama both lose, it will be interesting to see if ND gets in over a two loss Alabama and if the committee takes into consideration that ND has no coach. I'd love for both Cincy and ND to make it, guaranteeing us a game against one of them.
