I don't see how Paterno can coach any more this season, even in the faux role he's been in over the past 4-5 years. He's got to be available for pre-game pressers, post-game pressers, etc. He is already obviously showing signs of senility, and having the mob of reporters hitting him with "when did you stop beating your wife" questions, it would just be a madhouse.

While Penn State covered this up, it fell to a young boy, ( one of Sandusky's victims) to make sure it didn't happened to other Children. Wow, lawsuits are on the way, While joePa gets sent off in a "Triumph" by their moronic fan base.

I would think Schiano would jump at the job. He left PSU in 1995 so it would seem he is not linked to this scandal in any way, at least yet.Comment

Actually, now that you put it that way, that almost makes him a non-candidate -- the legal and PR departments would insist on a clean break from all elements of the past regime, I'd guess.Comment
