OU's been lucky with the timing of their bad performances-- they've usually given themselves time enough to recover in the polls. But the turnover problem they had today...that's the kind of thing that's tough to shake with a freshman QB, even a really good one.

I guess A LOT can happen. It's tough to suffer such an ugly loss this early in the season. Kansas State lost to Arkansas State and was down several players in this game due to COVID. Think it will take a miracle because OU will probably have to win out + get a ton of help. OU with a freshman QB, crappy OLine, and crappy defense... don't like their odds.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

They won’t figure it out. Someone will win by default. I was going to make a joke earlier about the Big 12 defenses being in midseason form.
In unrelated news: Florida State, yes the Seminoles, are on the fast track to irrelevance. Like NC State will look forward to playing them...

Down 23 players and two defensive coaches, and at times down to their third-string QB, VT went up 17-0 halfway through the first quarter, rushed for over 300 yards, didn't commit a turnover, and breezed to a 45-24 win.
This game makes no damn sense sometimes.

I see that Texas has employed the Oklahoma method of defensive strategy. Basically, its the defense telling the offense to score at least 60 points, or we lose."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"
