Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

That's pretty much the description that fits Jim McElwain. He's had his time in the sun in the SEC, and it wasn't so good. Florida fired him, and then Harbaugh gave him a year at Michigan to keep him employed. The Central job opened again, and McElwain was in the right position to be offered the job, and he accepted. He's reportedly said in his job interview with Central he wanted to consider CMU his destination job, and wants to be there for the long term. We'll see if that's true the next time he's offered a position at a P5 school.

    • Yeah, that'd be great for Central. Dude can coach. Maybe not super elite, but you don't need to be to do really well in the MAC. They're probably the biggest surprise of the season. Really great year for them no matter how they got there.

      • McElwain is already equivocating on that.

          • Wow, surprising about Petersen. Has he said why?

Jimmy Lake (DC) taking over it sounds like

              • That's interesting. Ohio State is really in it for a couple superstars from that state. I can't imagine this hurting Ohio State's chances. Fingers crossed!

I'm thinking with Petersen gone OSU can go with regular Brinks bags. Much easier sell. Save some money. Reallocate to trying to finagle a world class running back. You need to prioritize.
