I?s it because you think his health health issues, his memory and his >. chest pains (and cyst) or that he might be spend too much time away from his family (again)?
I don't want to make light of any health issues he may have, and I certainly don't wish ill health on him. Having been thru some issues myself over the past few years, I have a newfound sympathy with those who do have serious health issues. If his doctor has told him that his health issues require him to stay away from the stresses of coaching, then he should stay away. He has a wife and children, and he needs to put them first in his life and take proper care of himself.
But, its undeniable that he's used health issues as a reason why he left Florida, only to show up on the sidelines in Columbus, saying he was in his dream job. So, either his health issues were under control, or they never existed to begin with. I'm not in a position to know for sure either way. But it does smell fishy.
When trouble popped up in Columbus, he decided to leave his dream job, indicating that his health issues had popped up again, and he needed to pay closer attention to them for his family's sake. So, off he went.
If he doesn't land at USC at the new HC next season, then maybe I'll start believing that he has health issues that are now taking priority in his life. If he does coach again, its yet another fishy situation for him.

I don't think he'd turn down Notre Dame. I'll just say, I really don't think he takes the USC job. But, if he does, then yeah...it won't be pretty. They'd be a war machine in 2 years or less.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
