I hope the idiot who poisoned those trees in Auburn is mighty pissed this morning.

Agree with most of the sentiments here. The secondary play was spectacular by both teams though obviously mitigated by the fact that the QBs sucked, and UM would have gotten waxed by either one. On a serious note about Miles, that was great -- they were physical and tough and didn't outsmart themselves. For a guy with his nicknames, he was pretty sane as a decisionmaker. A very impressive and prudent display of restraint.
Depending on who's up next, I'd suspend #7 for a game. That was incredibly stupid, and beyond it being simply wrong, if you don't punish that then somebody might do it on a 3rd-and-long or in some other scenario that costs you the win someday.Last edited by hack; November 6, 2011, 10:22 AM.

Bryant-Denny looks like a generic NFL stadium.
They kept talking about having "100,000" fans there last night. I didn't know Bryant Denny had 100,000 seats? I thought Tennessee was the only SEC stadium that held 100K."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

I remember Joe Pa acting like his players beating up some kids was no big deal a few years ago. He didn't do anything until an ESPN story went on the air. His "I'm just a humble old guy who cares about his players" schtick has been unveiled as bullshit. He stuck around this long to pass Eddie Robinson. Now he can retire in shame.
More on JoePa & Sandusky:

Absolutely incredible. Eight years knowing that your defensive coordinator has set up a charitable foundation for his own sexual gratification. The most incredible thing is that not only did JoePa know, he did nothing about it and the PSU's president's public comment that he stands 100% behind his athletic director makes Gee's support of Gene Smith look like more than reasonable.

These situations are not analagous and should not be compared. Doing so gives both of these inferior-to-Michigan programs more perceived legitimacy than they deserve. It trivializes what Sandusky did if they are processed through the same filter, and makes OSU look good in comparison.
