5* and former Wolverine Aubrey Solomon has ended up at Tennessee. Hope he does well.
mgoboard was a live wire when the news broke earlier today and posters were certain "bagmen" got to him. Hope he doesn't read this stuff. Some of it was awful.
LMFAO at bagmen.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Major Applewhite fired from HC position at Houston. The program is targeting WVU's HC Dana Holgerson. Could Harbaugh, like he did with McElwain, bring a guy like Applewhite on as a consultant or coach. Harbaugh is not going to go air-raid but he could use somebody familiar with a WCO and the pistol to breath life inot his stale offense.
Mark Rich is reportedly retiring as HC of the Miami Hurricanes. I don't think he had any fun down there.
Pep Hamilton was reported to be on the Detroit Lions sidelines in Green Bay, WI no less. Who flies to Green Bay the day after being in Atlanta just to talk with friends or watch the game?
Reports have surfaced that Rich Rodriguez has been offered the OC position at Ole' Miss by HC Matt Luke.
Harbaugh made post Peach Bowl comments to the effect that there won't be any changes (inferred on the coaching staff) for 2019. "Just get better at what we do and reload." I'd like to think he's just blabbing to reporters so there are no hints of stories that might surface next week. He's very good at that.

This is a really good article - not so much for me that it's about "the end of the bell cow running back" - but rather an expose of the central issue in Jim Harbaugh's approach to offense in the current era of CFB that features spread/option concepts. The article crystallizes M's issues on offense into understandable and precise terms.
This quote from the article gets to the point talent and others were discussing about the use of the FB in M's offense as a negative factor.
The context here is speaking of the NFL's transition from San Francisco's/Bill Walshe's success with the WCO to Spread Concepts to Option Ball (RO and RPO).
The article goes on to say this (edits in parens mine):
While there are hints that Harbaugh gets this after getting pounded by both osu and Florida, I'm not sure he's going to abandon the emphasis on the TE and FB in his offense that, according to this author compromises the spread passing attack teams need to beat the elites of CFB. For him, if he does incorporate spread concepts to the extent required to become an elite offense, that would represent a significant paradigm shift. I don't think we are going to see that. It's more likely for 2019 we'll see a toe in the water, incremental sort of approach. We're going to be frustrated with that.
