  • They do run against that coverage and they do short passes. They have won the last two Superbowls so it's hard to argue with the approach.

    • Brown and worthy both are deep threats --worthy just caught a 50 plus yarder against houston last month--hopefully he does it again

        • The Chiefs might have a few long passes over the season but it's nowhere near what it was during the early Mahomes years. It's very evident if you look at yards per attempt. In his breakout season of 2018, he had a shocking 9.58 YPA with 50 TDs. This year he has been a pedestrian 6.80 YPA with 26;TDs.

He has become a great game manager out of necessity. They have a stout defense and he can make the winning play.

          • I won't watch anymore and there is still 7 minutes left.

After a great season, Lions collapse against the Commanders. Turnovers seals the deal and the 3rd INT with the Lions driving on a really stupid trick play - that shit just does not work in the NFL. Nice that it was Sanistril that got the pick. Whatever.

Worst performance, AT HOME, when it counted of an NFL team in my memory. Remembering the long suffering fans who are used to the Lions looking good for a few games and then ....... well you just saw the dong-punch again.

I'll give the season a pass given the injuries on defense but, man, even then the Lions had it going and just shit the bed with turnovers in the play-in game v. the Washington Commander for the Division Championship. Congrats to Rookie QB Jayden Daniels. Great game.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • Losing Robertson in the first quarter screwed them and then Branch sealed the deal. Terrible game and now you have to wait another year.

                  • I'm just glad that bandwagon fans that hopped on recently are getting the authentic Detroit Lions experience.

                    • Given time, the Lions will always break your heart. And they did last night.

They picked the wrong night to give the ball away five times. Its happened before this season.

Lots of questions to be answered now. How many coaches leave? How many players want new deals? Being that they finished so well, they won't get a decent pick in the draft, so no help is coming there. But they will get some key people back from the injured list for next year.

This is where we find out if the new Lions are more than just a 2-3 year flash in the pan.

And KC is guaranteed another SB win. The two best NFC challengers are gone.

                      • The ref favoritism for KC is getting so blatant that they have fully completed their transition into the Patriots. They honestly might be more hated than New England was in its prime.

I doubt it happens but Washington winning the Super Bowl one year after Dan Snyder was forced to sell the team would be hilarious

                          • Is there that many Lion bandwagon fans? For most of my life they were always there but in silence. This year was fun but there was always that nagging sense the injuries to the defense would be the downfall. Even if they somehow won yesterday, the new injuries that knock out 3/5 of the starting secondary sealed their fate for the rest of the playoffs

                            • Barry Sanders on the sideline jinxed them.

                              • Gibbs reminded me of Barry yesterday, specifically the vaunted Sterling Sharpe game where every time Barry touched the ball he was going for big gains or he got stuffed at the LOS. That game had a lot in common with this one.
