Manning has the rare combination of being a very intelligent ballplayer, who has the physical attributes to do exactly what he wants, on any given play. Well, except for when he wants to scramble, ....
I've grown to respect Peyton Manning. He's a great athlete, and a fine man. He would have been a great Michigan Man.
Its a bit of a mixed blessing that he didn't come to Michigan. Had he come, we might not have gotten Tom Brady. But .. can you imagine what Manning would have done at Michigan over 4 years?

Liney, noticed in Bronco/raven game tonight that the refs were patting down some of the players coming out of the team locker room. What for?
I didn't see it, but were they possibly checking to make sure that players were wearing hip and knee pads? We were talking about that tonight on our way to our game. One of my partners said the NFL is having the officials conduct random searches because there has apparently been some complaints about ballplayers spraying themselves down with silicone, or other slippery substances, to make them harder to tackle.

William Clay Ford understands ONE thing, and ONE thing only. Money. When that starts to dry up, it will at least get his attention. After that, you have to hope that he's smart enough to put sound football people in place to run his football team. His track record for the last 50 years is not promising.
