    • Just saw on the TV that they are playing the San Diego County Fair this weekend. I don't think Mark Farner is still with them, though.

      • I think they had some kind of blowup within the group where Farner has formed one group that tours, using a form of the Grand Funk name, and Don (?) has another group that tours using the name as well.

Yeah, I don't recall the details but there was a reunion and tour about 10-15 years ago and then a falling out. Since then there are almost two Grand Funks. It's weird.

            • I saw Farner at an event surrounding the Super Bowl in Detroit in.....what....2006? He played one of the outdoor stages, and put on a pretty good show. Saw him about 2 years later in Petoskey, and he wasn't very good.......kind of preachy. (He apparently is Born Again) Appeared under his own name both times.

              • Yeah, Farner has appeared on several Christian network shows and is into what is known as "christian rock".

I have no idea what he's up to nowadays.

                • Nice!

Yeah, Woodley may be my favorite defensive guy since Woodson.

                  • And Woodley isn't only helping Saginaw High. He's helping their cross-town rival, Saginaw Arthur Hill as well. Nobody will have to pay to play at either Saginaw city HS.

                    Nice touch by Mr. Woodley.

                    • Tremendous! Glad to have him representing the Wolverines.

                      • I remember when I was in HS and attending Flint Central HS. Whenever we had to play either of the Saginaw teams, we knew we were in for a dogfight. Tough, hard nosed football. Saginaw High was particularly tough. We occasionally handled Saginaw Arthur Hill, but the Trojans of Saginaw High were very difficult to beat. If you beat Saginaw High, you had a good team.

                        • Jimmy Ballgame, working his magic again. SF beats GB at Lambeau. They looked very good. They're probably the team to beat in the NFC.

The Lions will truly have their hands full next Sunday night.

                          • Just a note, two of M's great QBs will be kind of playing against each tonight. 49'ers coach Jim Harbough and NE's Tom Brady. Should be fun to watch.

                            • Leon Hall just had a Pick 6 against the Texans to give Cinci a 7-6 lead.
