He always wanted to go back to the league. There was a reason he kept on interviewing. Plus he has a 4 year show cause. He's happy being back in the league and Michigan has Sherrone Moore. Win win.
Hell I’d a game last night. Not having a functioning defense will prevent them from their ultimate goal which is sad.
Also, Harbaugh was definitely going to the NFL after last season, win or lose. Hell, I called it before the season that it would be his last in Ann Arbor.
Jim Harbaugh and Jesse Minter turned the 5-12 Chargers into an 11-6 playoff team with the league's best scoring defense in one season. Those guys sure can coach football.

No, Mike. You're wrong. The only way that Harbaugh and Minter excel is because they "cheat". They know nothing about real football. Or, at least that's what I'm told.
I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle
I mean Harbaugh does have a 4 year show cause. They don't give those to honest people. But he did a good job with the Chargers and is a much better coach than Brandon Staley
He lost 5 straight and dodged a 6th ass-kicking (and the loudest grumbling around Ann Arbor imaginable) by piously declaring his team too ill to compete. His real dream, of returning to the NFL and getting the hell out of Ann Arbor, was in dire peril during the winter of 2020-21. So he chose the path of a criminal and scoundrel. He flouted the rules every chance he got and ordered his assistants to cheat, hold extra practices, steal playbooks, do everything possible for an edge.
The actions of a false Christian and a poor character. But sure to be loved in that Washtenaw den of inequity. A tragic and cautionary tale for the youth of Michigan who, I fear, will learn nothing but be lied to about the true nature of the man.
