What yesterday's Rams win showed, is everything that the Detroit Lions are NOT. The Rams made a trade for a QB who is not a world-beater, but is still a talented ballplayer. They have surrounded him with other talented ballplayers. They also have provided him with a competent coaching staff that knows how to win, and how to coach winning. He's now in an organization that has dedicated itself to winning not just a division title, but a Super Bowl. The Rams are now poised to win a Championship.

They are everything that the Lions are not. The Lions are no closer to the Super Bowl than they were 30 years ago. If they couldn't get a Super Bowl berth with Barry Sanders, they'll never get there. Even the Browns could have gotten into the Super Bowl with Sanders.

The Bengals seem to be one of those teams that are in the right place at the right time. Their effort is above average, and they have a good young QB that makes their future very promising. A Bengals SB win would not shock me. The Rams will be the favorite, and they should be, but the Bengals will give them a fight.
