Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

  • No news that they are athlete-students and not student-athletes; this is the case pretty much everywhere except in some places (e.g. SEC) where you hardly even need to show up for class. Pot calling kettle, black.

    • Correct, WM. I'm not one for sanctimonious chatter about molding leaders and fine young me. Or whatever. I leave that to others.

All UFM's chart shows is that more OSU scrubs Re engaged in "real" majors than M's scrubs. Bully. Whatever.

      Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

      • I think it's emblematic of the "anything to win" mentality that pervades the new Michigan.

Winning with dignity without sacrifice of principles, the way Bo would have wanted it, is long gone.

Kudos to Coach Meyer for bringing attention to this sad state of affairs.

        • yeah, that's what it says alright. Of course the fact that the New Michigan under Hoke has only been around for a year is of no consideration to you. Oh wait a minute ....facts were never a component of your comment anyways.

          Never mind, carry on.

            • Snooze. DSL's game is so incredibly weak.

No, but I will tell him to choose M over Ohio ... the first step to a MORE "rewarding and resourceful career path."

                • Given the amount of irritation and anger this has already sparked, Coach Meyer's blessed work was not done in vain.

                    • If I can interrupt a typical petty squabble for a bit, I got some pretty sad news elsewhere

Talent- I don't think you read/post over at the GoatPen anymore, but Hizzy has apparently passed away. Several that are friends with him on facebook confirmed after a relative posted on his account. Very, very sad news.

                        • Haven't watched either and am very okay with that.

However, I did hear that Randy Savage and Dale Sr. share a cloud up in redneck heaven.
                          LOL, JD.

I've been down this road before, but whatever. Folks who think NASCAR is the equivalent of WWE don't know what they are watching, or what type of engineering and skill goes into both the cars that are driven and the drivers behind the wheels.
Sean, sorry to pick on NASCAR, but I will give you and Talent this much---I don't equate the two "sports" at all. WWE is much more entertaining of the two, despite it being completely scripted drama rather than actual competition. NASCAR, OTOH, completely bores me despite the fact I realize that it is legitimate competition (although I do enjoy the occasional post-crash meltdowns between drivers not named Danica) .

How many times can a person watch cars go around in circles before being taking a nap?
