  • You're exactly right, WM. Obviously, the guy who did that for OSU last year was Diebler. OSU ran a set last year with Sully in the post and Diebler in the corner/maybe out to the wing that was basic and devastating.

The guy who HAS to be that guy is Buford. He is -- or at least was -- a late first round NBA pick. He has been thoroughly mediocre. He's the "missing" piece, but I doubt he finds what's missing.

Sullinger does what he does. Thomas is gritty player who score from anywhere. Craft gives you what he does. With Buford in a two-month funk, yeah, they really, really miss Diebler.

I'm starting to wonder if Sullinger may return. He should probably go. His game is what it is -- it's not getting any more "NBA ready". He may improve his draft stock a bit simply b/c this year is loaded. Thomas may go, too. But he'd actually really benefit from another year. I think Thomas has the potential to be a better NBA player than Sullinger.

Meh, already thinking about next year. Well, the upside is the NCAA is a crapshoot. Takes one good run. OSU, IMO, was the best team in the country last year; and UConn certainly wasn't.

Douglass is our best perimeter defender so don't get too discouraged. Or do, heh, you're fun when you're surly, heh.

He's a total heel, to borrow from pro wrestling parlance. I like him. Half the fun of watching him is watching his inevitable blow up.

Btw, Tony, if you're interested, my brother runs a fantasy NASCAR league. Sean is going to sign up -- after I badger him some more this week.

                • WoooOT! Well, Liney, it was a brutal game to watch. I'd rather watch OSU get smoked by a team that plays really well than lose a game where OSU is largely inept. I think the former happens in the NCAA tourney.

It is 75. We do it in 3 seasons, spring, summer, fall - 12 races each season. Each season winner gets paid as does the overall winner. We have 3 groups, too, but I think we are closer to 15 per group. So, the C list is really thin. 1 A, 2 B, 1 C is the lineup and can only use a driver for 9 starts. I think we will be around 12-13 contestants.

My wife, the M grad, prevailed last season in almost a wire to wire win.

                        • Buford has become one of my alltime most disappointing players. The guy just never shows up in big games. 3-13, 6 points, those types of games. I'll give him credit for a good game against Kansas but that's it for this season. And I still largely blame him for getting bounced in last season's tourney. He had a spectacularly awful game.

One of the alltime high scorers, sure. But he racked up those points in mostly meaningless games.

This is a sports forum. NASCAR is not a sport. "Fantasy" talk is not real sports talk.
