Man, Fickell needs to take on a more stoic appearance. He looked deflated and lost at the end of the game. He was put into a tough situation, but he shouldn't look like a kid who lost his puppy after a loss.

DSL, I agree I can't figure this next Ohio game out either.
I was stunned to see Ohio run this well (with Miller in at least) the Huskerz. I don't know if the Huskerz made adjustments or it was all Miller's injury that reversed that in the second half.
My gut right now says Ohio beats the Illini and gives Wisky a tough fight before losing (assuming Miller is back). I thought you guys were headed for a 6-loss season, but now I don't think so.
Yikes with Bowser-man ... he's got to be the worst QB to ever start for the Bucks.

Talent smirked, dismissing my suggestion of osu to the wilderness. But there is a good chance of that. Political maneuvering, player strife inside the program are going to cause major problems going toward for the bucks. Ask me how I know this.
The article up thread was excellent and consistent with my view of the mess that is osu football in the hands of gee and smith. Behavior of individuals at levels of power and influence that these two have risen to can produce outcomes at the extremes. That's a high risk circumstance for the bucks that I would not want to be a part of or witness to where strong emotional ties are involved.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

You say the loss is "much bigger than that" and then offer no substance whatsoever to validate that view.
Speaking of political, closed-door nastiness, I hear there's a great tell-all book about the Michigan football program about to come out.

But maybe Talent's legal genius could avoid a lawsuit. Perhaps you could offer Gordo a few signed jerseys and a chance to join the Salvation Army band when they come to the Big House in November. Plus, he might actually make "Hang On Sloopy" semi-listenable.

DSL, Let's look at that......
The performance of components of an organization perform well when there is stability in the parent organization. Tell me that osu's football program is stable and in a good place?
What is the general confidence level in smith's and gee's ability to make good decisions regarding the osu football program going forward?
While players don't generally know or care much about this stuff, the coaches who coach them are greatly affected by it and so is the degree of effectiveness in which they do their jobs. M's performance during the Rodriguez era is a good example of this.
The article I referenced above is pretty specific about conflict and finger pointing. Take a look for yourself if you haven' t already. Both yourself and talent have missed by wide margins the implcatio s of the tat5 and the enormous damage done to osu's football program by what has been described as trifling by both of you.
It's giving me a lot of pleasure to watch osu fans in general and our regular osu posters here be incredibly wrong about all of this.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Heh. When I bring up LAST SEASON it's "living in the past". When someone on this board cites Bo or Fielding Yost it's because you "appreciate your tradition".
You should be rooting for Fickell to do well. Every loss bring us closer to the Urban Legend. Maybe Hoke will start negative recruiting against his health though.
