  • Rosenhaus is right -- TP has the right to not get drafted this year as opposed to next year.

    • So now Pryor is willing to rat out his old school to get himself eligible? Wow, just wow. He will talk more, it's only a matter of time. He's all about TP.

Here's a bit more from an ESPN article: http://espn.go.com/college-football/...caa-violations

I remember being quite disappointed when M lost that recruiting battle. How about that?!

          • An Ohio State spokesman told ESPN on Wednesday that Pryor did not tell the school or the NCAA about any additional violations. That contradicts what Pryor's attorney David Cornwell told ESPN earlier in the week.
I wonder what tp is referring to?

            • DSL, oh heavens no, there is plenty of room and OSU is in perfect company!

It appears "you peoples are no longer Terrelle's (ebonic sp.) peoples" and it's gonna cost OSU big time.

I guess that "O" is only skin deep after all. No longer on the OSU payroll and no NFL pay check insight, it's gonna get ugly....Tressel and Smith created a monster.

                  • Believe ESPN at your own peril. But, then again, facts aren't much of a concern to you boys, so, go ahead and swallow that shit whole! Throw out some ludicrous, unfounded comparisons and prattle on and on and on. It's a way of life for ya, ain't it!

But anyway, on a day when Yahoo breaks a massive story on actual substantiated systemic cheating, ESPN manages to focus on TP. Bravo. Didn't think they had the balls to keep at it, but my god, they're nothing if not dogged.

                    • From what I have read, pryor admitted to the ncaa in May that he accepted money and car payments from his mentor after he was told in 2008 to stop. Could liney be right in that o-lie-o has friends in the ncaa whose hands are now caught in the cookie jar with delaney?

                      • If TP and his lawyer are to be believed, the NCAA knew about this at the end of May. Which means it's almost certainly been reviewed and addressed as far as Ohio State goes. Remember, the NCAA sent a letter in July summarizing its investigations.

It's possible that they dropped the investigation in June when TP declared b/c they didn't find any wrongdoing by OSU and TP was no longer under the NCAA, so a ruling on him would be moot.

I, for once, actually hope TP is telling the truth.

If, for whatever reason, Ohio State is right and this actually is something "new" and wasn't reported to the NCAA in May and the NCAA is only now just learning of it, then that would at least leave OSU open to the possibility of an additional issue.

My take is that both TP and OSU are telling the truth. TP did meet with the NCAA in May as he said and did provide information. None of these allegations, though, were "new" to OSU or the NCAA (consistent with OSU's statement).

                        Anyway, keep plugging along, boys.

                        • If the NCAA hammers OSU then that's all the proof we need that OSU is a lying, cheating program because the NCAA wouldn't hammer anyone unless they deserved it.

If the NCAA doesn't hammer OSU then that's all the proof we need that OSU is a lying, cheating program because the NCAA would clearly be in OSU's pocket since it's so apparent to everyone that there's a mountain of evidence supporting 15-year probation.

If the NCAA disbands tomorrow then that's all the proof we need that OSU is a lying, cheating program because only OSU and its corrupt, outrageously rich alumni could have forced such an action just to avoid punishment.

If the sun rises in the east then that's all the proof we need that OSU is a lying, cheating program because...

Hey, this writes itself when you settle on a conclusion before knowing any facts.

                          • I just think its ironic that Pryor is trying to get into the NFL by admitting that he actually cheated MORE than what he confessed to previously.

                            Priceless.

I'm so glad he didn't sign with Michigan.

                            • Doug Lesmerises of the Plain Dealer had a sane, rational write-up of the TP thing today. As it is sane and rational, I suspect it's of little interest to you folks.

Anyway, it seems as if I left $1000 on the table as TP has been declared eligible for the supplemental draft. Amazingly enough, our South Beach Boy, OP Shapiro was wrong. The date and time have been marked for posterity.

Anyway, to the NFL, I think they absolutely did the right thing in letting TP into the supplemental draft, but I have to say, I think they exceeded my expectations with this:

"Terrelle Pryor will be ineligible to practice prior to or play in the first five games of the NFL regular season after he signs."

That's actually a really great move by the NFL. ::golf clap::

                              • Whatever happened to Tressel's emails to TP's buddy, Sarniak? I realize when OSU turned them in via the FOIA requests, the documents were 99% blank.
