  • Anywho, it's going to be quite pleasurable watching Ohio State whip the piss out of your saviour this season.

OUCH, that's the spirit! Tell you what I've got a crisp "Grover Cleveland" that says TP remains ineligible for the NFL Supplemental. Second, I've got a another G-Note that says Hoke beats Fickell on the 26th of November. I've heard a ton of bravado, time to pay the fiddler!

Man or Mouse? What say you.....

    • I don't think TP will be eligible for supplemental draft as there's isn't really any proof that would make him ineligible for the college season. Have I said otherwise? Why don't you ever represent what I say truthfully?

As for the M game, I don't have $1000 to bet, but you're on for $250. Straight up. Done.

        • I assume, of course, you'll be man enough to return the favor in 2012 in Columbus. I'd rather win $500 than just $250.

          • Why didn't Coach Flounder retain Barwis? With the kind of savage beasts that man could develop, M would have good cause to think national title

            • Talent, You've turned to water. DSL has to have that sort of fun money lying around, the basement rent at his folks place has to be below market, why not split the risk? Anyway, sure will double-or-nothing in C -Bus the following year.

Is your college football pool alive and well this fall?

              • Absolutely. Should be able to to log back on and have it ready to go.

Also, for anyone else interested, it's a College Picks Contest. Entry fee is $75. It's actually a really good value, IMO.

OP and WingsFan (don't know his moniker over here) do it. So, a couple guys are already in. If anyone else interested, let me know. I can explain in much more detail if there's an interest.

                • You may have to alter the wording of that bet you two have, as I am not sure Coach F*ckhole will be coaching the 2012 game.

                    • I'll let the "Michigan Men" carry on with comparisons of college football coaches and players to Nazis and such...

                      I found this somewhat interesting:

According to Ohio State's press release of March 9, 2011: "Head Football Coach Jim Tressel violated provisions of NCAA Bylaw 10.1 when he failed to notify the university about information received involving two football student-athletes. The university became aware of this situation [the Cicero emails] on Jan. 13, while reviewing information on an unrelated legal issue."

According to a source close to the investigation, the "unrelated legal issue" was an FOIA request filed on behalf of the University of Missouri in an attempt to find "collusion" regarding the admittance of University of Nebraska to the Big Ten Conference. Apparently, Missouri believed that they were the favorite to receive the invitation, and felt that there must have been some underhanded dealings when Nebraska received the offer, which admittedly did catch most people by surprise.
That's from the "Rumor Mill" on BuckeyePlanet. Frankly, it seems about right.

What's also sort of interesting is this:

Mizzou head coach Don Faurot, then a big name on the college football scene, was offered the vacant Ohio State job in 1951. He went to Columbus, verbally accepted the Ohio State offer, and then reneged upon returning back to Missouri. Apparently, the Mizzou administration talked him into staying put, and Ohio State was forced to hire their second choice, the little-known Woody Hayes.
So, Missouri sort of unwittingly "forced" Ohio State to hire Wayne Woodrow Hayes and then, 60 years later, filed the request that ultimately "forced" Ohio State to fire James Tressel. Esoteric, I know, but I thought someone like Buchanan might like that little factoid -- to the extent the Missouri FOIA request is true.

                        • The NCAA is aware of all of TP's reported car activities. Just more stuff that, seemingly, didn't violate NCAA rules.

LOL? leave it to an Apologist, and a lawyer, to immediately assume that calling out one similarity is the same as calling out the whole package. Ironically, deflection like this has actually worked pretty well too. It?s so much easier to think that the other guys have gone off the rails than it is to face reality.

That reality, as ?Michigan Men? (and most everybody else outside of Buckeye Nation) know is that your Hero is guilty and bolted instead of facing the music. Not exactly behavior becoming of a Hero.

                            • A comparison is a comparison. You chose to compare them to Nazis, quite intentionally, I presume. There were a million differnt ways to draw the comparison, but that's what you chose. Like I said, I'll leave that nonsense to you "Michigan Men."

As for reality, I've been dealing with the facts all day long. I love the facts. I love reality. It's my biggest ally against the mass of unsubstantiated speculation that supposedly sentient beings swallow whole with nary a question.
