    • The 2012 class will be "lost" -- ie, top 15ish/top20ish. They've lost out on guys concerned about the "uncertainty" of the sanctions, but that's to be expected. The 2013 class looks really, really good and will face no real prospect of sanctions (even a 2 year bowl ban wouldn't touch them).

The only thing left for Ohio State to do is solid up the head coach. My guess is that Fickell will retain the job. My guess is they'll put out some feelers on huge name hires (read: Urban Meyer) and unless they can hire one of those guys, Coach Fickell will keep the job.

Either way, I'm not sweating Ohio State's situation. 2012 won't be a great class, but it also won't be the worst class Ohio State has brought in over the past 8 or 9 years either.

Heh, a rather nice example of how much certain folks hate Coach Tressel and the extremes they'll go to villify him.
Guffaw. Tressell to Cicero in the original email exchange: “I will keep pounding these kids and hope they grow up.” What a shock that they didn't, given who was mentoring them.

        • OSU's recruiting class looks downright Rodriguez-like right now.

              • Ohio State's class will be satisfactory in 2012 and back to top shelf in 2013. Very tolerable.

Anyway, it's been fun, gents. I'll now let you carry on with your rants unfettered by facts, reason and rational thought!

As I said, I'll stop by when the NCAA finally speaks and probably prior to The Game. Otherwise, you boys are mercifully free of me.

October 11th, 2008 Toledo 13-10 over Michigan ....only by the hands of Rich Rod was this possible.

If this is meant to insinuate that I "hate" Mr. Tressel, then that is absolutely wrong. I don't hate anyone. Mr. Tressel has done nothing to me that would cause me to hate him.

You sir, are the one who extolled the virtues of Mr. Tressel's Christianity. I find this ironic coming from you, because I have been part of conversations you've had in the past with people of faith, and you've made no secret of the fact that you have no use for Christianity, nor any other faith, for that matter.

I simply pointed out, that if Mr. Tressel wishes to be taken seriously as a Christian, then he needs to live a life that is the proper example of a Christian. Part of that includes not being a liar, or a man known to willingly break the rules in order to gain an advantage over his competitors. He has done both, yet seems to continue to show an unrepentant attitude.

My guess is, Mr. Tressel wouldn't be apologizing for anything had this not become public. In fact, he'd probably be at this week's Big Ten meetings talking about the things he expects Terrelle Pryor to accomplish in his final season, and maybe even advocating that he be considered a top draft pick in next year's NFL draft.

                        • And that wasn't even the point, Strangelove. I would not expect Mr. Tressel to live a perfect life.

But, I would expect him to live as he teaches. Especially if I were an admirer of his work.

                              • If by ``mule'' you mean ``person from Ohio'', I'm going to have to disagree.

An extra bonus: it means absolutely nothing at all! It's a very impressive collection of themed words in proximity to each other.
