    • Yep, Buckeye fans are universally known as the worst fans in the Big10. Here's a group of Penn State fans advising a couple Buckeyes to stay classy and quit giving the rest of the Big10 a bad name

        • Rating the 'visitors' to AA, OSU has the worst by a good margin but that is probably due to the rivalry. MSU fans are largely awful but again, that is probably due to the rivalry. Outside of those two, PSU and Illini fans are probably as bad as I've witnessed.

I think Nebraska fans are going to be for a cultural shock on how they are treated. Colorado and Missouri were the exceptions... They will now be the norm.

I also think most visitors to UNL will be pleasantly surprised as well

            • Visitors from Indiana, Purdue, NW & Iowa have usually been excellent. Last time I saw Wisky in AA, it was the 90's and don't really remember the experience that well.

              • Wisky fans are boisterious and often drunk, but cleary want to have a good time, so I never had much of a problem with them. But most of my experiences with them were back in the 80's when they stunk, so now that they have a better program they may be obnoxious.

I've only had one interaction with Penn State fans, and that was in '93. They were fine then. 10 years of losing to us may have changed things.

Thank your lucky stars you've never been to Morgantown. They're actually going to serve beer at WVU games this season. Some of WVU's own season-ticket holders have reportedly refused to renew their tickets because they're afraid the atmosphere inside the stadium is going to be even worse. If that's the case, they might as well open a branch of the Monongalia County Jail at Mountaineer Field this year.

                  • NFL lukewarm on Pryor as supplemental pick

09:41 AM ET 06.05 | If Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor, in the middle of the mess that resulted in coach Jim Tressel's resignation, applies to be included in a supplemental draft in July, don't expect any team to use a high pick on him. Gil Brandt, the former Cowboys vice president and now the draft expert for NFL.com, said that if Pryor had been in the 2011 draft, he "would be around number 100. Somewhere between a third- and fourth-round pick." He said he would have him behind QBs Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, Colin Kaepernick, Christian Ponder and Andy Dalton.

                        • Jerry DeNardo on Bill King's radio show this morning on tressel .......

jt went too far protecting his kids and made a bad decision. Go back to sitting in the living room with the parents of an 18 year old kid and the HC says "I'm going to take care of your kid like I'm his father." Still a bad decision but I can relate to this. I can't think of a time where I didn't feel my kids should be held accountable and pay the price for mistakes but I sure thought about it.

From tressel's perspective, this gets back to the question, how bad a mistake on the part of the players and with regard to NCAA rules was this when tressel was informed that they were getting tats for osu gear? Not very bad ..... obviously tressel underestimated the damage but I can see, for example, not telling authorities if I learned from another source my kid had broken a rule at school esp. if I thought the school would over react and cause more damage than was warranted in my estimation; I can see how I'd choose to handle it myself.

Also offered that a part of tressel's thinking had to be based on an idea on his part that we are so good and the NCAA believes we self report better than any program, we can get away with this. IMO, this was definitely part of decision making process.

Not Denardo's take but I'll add ..... A serious error in judgment though for him to lie about it to the NCAA when he was asked. Once it got to that point, he should have told them what happened and why it happened. Speculating but, it makes a lot of sense to me that he told smith/gee, possibly right before the initial discovery was made public and at this point a plan was hatched to self impose and stone wall the rest of it. Wondering if jt was paid for his silence on this when he resigned?

...... on another issue, DeNardo was asked about fickell and how he would do. Made a good point that we really won't know how well osu will do until we know what the NCAA is going to take away immediately for osu (e.g., can't play in the inaugural BT Conference Championship and/or bowl ban). Between the lines is the idea that the players potentially won't have much to play for and that is going to affect the level of effort and commitment to the season which will ultimately determine how osu does.

DeNardo thinks the NCAA will hit osu hard and should. Said that tough penalties are the only thing that is going to stop this kind of reasoning on the part of coaches and administrators......price of failure to comply has to be steep, he said.

Well, not really but I liked his take. Thought it was fair in the wake of all the tressel bashing. Dinardo is a good guy.
