    • At The Ohio State University we are interested in kids who are looking to making an impact for their COLLEGE team, not those with one foot out the door from Day One. That's why we are so successful. And why Michigan is, well, Michigan. I am sure Mr. Boren doesn't regret his decision for a second. The boorish lout who heaped abuse on he and his family was shipped back to the West Virginia hills, the Ann Arbor Salvation Army got a nice donation, and we're all winners in the end.

So what happened with Clarett? This guy was in Tressel's first class, and had one foot out the door before he ever took a competitive handoff.

And the "tat five" had to sign "letters of promise" not to bolt to the NFL when they got busted. Maybe they should have followed the lead of their head coach and LIED, ... then submitted their names to the NFL draft ...

But then, .. I guess Pryor would have been pretty embarrassed to have been drafted later than Ryan Mallett ...

And Boren? Well, since he wasn't drafted, he can join his Daddy full time, plowing snow on the frozen plains of Ohio ... and save a place for his two younger brothers ...

Gotta love that "The Ohio State University Degree!!!"

        • Have read on the forum here about the youngstown state incident, but had no idea what occurred. This article outlines the events as what had transpired at that time. Its pretty uncanny the similarities, just change the name of the university, players, mentors and leave jt's name in there, history almost repeats itself. One thought occurred to me after reading this, after practicegate, the ncaa did visit wv for what was thought to be similar incidences. Could that happen again?

It's true. At the University of Michigan they are more interested in making men who will make an impact long after college (see Brandon, Dave, Cong. Jon Runyan and President Ford.)

            • True. Without Gerald Ford, Chevy Chase's career might not have taken off. And if it were not for Dave Brandon, Domino's would never have been brought to its knees and changed its recipe.

Steinbrenner bought them a win, and the Tat Five preferred money over their memorabilia.

                        • Dorian Bell Suspended for Rules Violation

                          by Adam Rittenberg

                          ESPN.com

Ohio State linebacker Dorian Bell has been suspended for the 2011 season because of an unspecified violation of team rules.

Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel confirmed Bell's suspension to The Columbus Dispatch on Sunday night. Bucknuts.com, which first reported Bell's suspension, cited sources who said the sophomore committed a third violation of the same team rule.

Bell appeared in eight games last season as a reserve linebacker but did not travel with the team to the Allstate Sugar Bowl for undisclosed reasons. Bucknuts.com reported he also would have been suspended for the 2011 opener against Akron before the latest infraction.

He competed for a starting outside linebacker spot this spring.

One of the most heralded recruits in Ohio State's 2009 class, Bell redshirted in 2009 before recording nine tackles last season.

                          • Good grief, what the hell do you have to do to get suspended for an entire year at OSU? The guy must have failed about 10 drug tests or something.

Good question. Crimes against nature usually get you tenure at osu.
