You win the Internet today, Tom.

    • Maryland's gonna Maryland. In the first half, Taulia missed a wide open guy in the end zone for an easy TD on a great playcall and I said to myself "yup, that's Taulia". They have legit talent on offense but they shoot themselves in the foot constantly. Reminds me of RichRod.

      I can't get a read on OSU.

      • The read is they aren't very good. It's not that hard of a read.

Penn State is going to absolutely ass-rail them. Hell, they'll very likely struggle like motherfuckers in West Lafayette.

9-3 is about what they are and what they will be. Garbage.

        • They are better than that, but not elite.

          • I'd put osu on par with Alabama ....... oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • They're not remotely elite, Hannibal. They have two good units. That's it. They will lose to Penn State, lose in Madison and lose by about 50 at AA.

Right now I'd be happy if they can manage to have the Purdue game in control by the end of the 3rd. But I doubt that will happen. Fortunately it's on Peacock so no one will see it.

Meh -- I've sort of given up on this season. I rode my bike on Saturday for 4 hours and didn't get back to watch the game until middle of 2nd -- when they were losing 10-0! Listened to that part on drive home.

If 1 of any number of things had gone differently against Georgia, then they'd be defending CFP champs and it'd all be good -- a transition year. As it is, it's a transition year after a disastrous year -- by OSU standards. So -- whatever.

              • They haven't been great so far but there is time for improvement if it really is a transition year. I wouldn't write off the season yet. Wisky isn't impressive at all and Penn State is still coached by James Franklin.

Regardless, you'll enjoy your game against M in 2024. 2023 maybe not so much but I'm not predicting a Michigan victory in that one yet.

                • Well, you're as pessimistic as they come, so I understand why you're holding off on 2023. But that one is a foregone conclusion.

Ohio State blew it last year with just a god-awful performance. This year the only chance Ohio State has is if HARBAUGH!!!! returns the favor. And that won't happen -- well, I dunno -- they did manage to lose to a really not good TCU team. So, it's POSSIBLE. But I'm at about 5% for OSU. It's far more likely that OSU loses by 35 than they win at all.

True. You've got enough skill players alone to just show up and beat everybody on your schedule- with the exception of M and PSU. In the latter, you've got them in the 'shoe and you can (maybe) intimidate Allard and watch Frankilin make some dumb mistakes. Regarding M, you've got to expect your Third Baseman will be in full desperation mode this year and will be doing everything possible to win that game. I don't share the belief in the foregone conclusion that Michigan has totally flipped the rivalry yet.

But the rest of it? Wow, the rest of the conference is pure garbage.

                    • Well, they haven't flipped it. I mean, I would bet on OSU with pretty good odds in 2024. And I don't think M's roster in 2025 -- barring great portal addtions -- is gonna be good.

But, it'll be 3 in a row, which I guess after 1 for 17 is flipping it.

                      • We really need to win this year because a large regression is coming next year. The staff will be able to coach up the remaining guys to 8 or 9 wins but they won't have the horses to beat the top teams. It's pretty frustrating that recruiting is where it's at coming off two playoff berths and possibly a 3rd this year.

                        • Possibly? JFC.

If JJ stays you'll be fine and I can't see him going. Edwards is certainly staying. He's probably been the only disappointment this year -- not sure why he doesn't have the numbers -- especially since he's on my fantasy team. Fortunately, Roman Wilson is paying dividends.

But, if you have JJ and Edwards, that's a good start. But the roster depletion will nonetheless be very real going into 2024.

                            • Well, I never so shamefully sandbagged. Ohio State has NEVER, EVER been this big a lock to win something as HARBAUGH!!! is to win the B10 and go to the CFP.
