Don't worry, You guys will be playing the 3 loss version of Purdue this weekend.
Those were matchups that probably worked for Purdue. First, Purdue can't run, but they can pass. This plays directly into Sparty's glaring weakness. Second, Iowa is so bad on offense that Purdue's generally mediocre defense isn't exposed and Purdue is good enough on offense to capitalize.

Against Wisconsin, their defense was ripped AND their offense couldn't put up points to match. Notre Dame was just a little better. Minnesota is so up and down it's hard to really figure them out.

Anyway, it's not going to be an easy game for Ohio State. As AA put it wrt to hoops, it's a hard game with absolutely no reward if they win.

Pump the brakes there, Romeo. No word on his penchance for machinery buggery or just plain old buggery. So, dial it back.

No, it won't be easy. You'll probably need to put up 35, or maybe 40 to do so.
You will, because of better personnel, more depth and coaching that knows how to utilize those advantages when it matters most.

I hate you bastards, though, and it's not just because you always seem to have an endless bag of tricks that always work.

                        • Well, there's a pretty big difference between French West Indies African folks and the absolute and total bottom barrell Scots -- rejected by their own peat-eating subjugated "nation" and then rejected by Canada's douchiest of provinces only to find refuge in the pit of Lousiana swamp hell.

                            • Jeff Brohm and Purdue have three wins vs top 5 teams (Ohio State 2018, Iowa 2021, and MSU 2021).
Purdue lost in the following week and looked flat after Ohio State 2018 and Iowa 2021. Hungover after the high of a spectacular win.

Therefore, I think Ohio State wins. No way Purdue can pull off back to back top 5 wins.

                              Ohio State 41
                              Purdue 27

Best case for Purdue, the game script looks like 2020 IU vs Ohio State when Penix had an amazing game. That’s if ‘good O’Connell’ shows up in Columbus. There are games when O’Connell plays like Brees OR crappy Rob Henry. Very volatile…

EDIT: Rob Henry is his name, but you can pick any crap Purdue QB during the Danny Hope or Darrell Hazell eras.
